Thermo-Quad Metering Rod Tech:
A 75-1966 rod has a large diameter of .067" and a small diameter "power tip" of .045". The .067" section of the rod is positioned in the metering jet during light throttle driving. During heavy acceleration, manifold vacuum decreases allowing the power piston to rise positioning the smaller diameter (.045") power tip in the metering jet.
Larger diameter rods will lean air fuel mixtures. A great way to fine tune your Thermo-Quad for better driveablity, power and fuel mileage.…see more
