Quadrajet Steel Shim Heat Shield -Buick 1966-67, Cadillac 1967

Quadrajet - Spread Bore Steel Metal Heat Shield
4 Hole design, (Thickness: .015" )
Quantity: 1 gasket
Made in USA

Originally used on the following applications :
Buick 1966-67
Cadillac 1967
May also fit other applications.

Steel metal shim (.015" thick) is used with a base gasket on models with exhaust gases under the carburetor to eliminate "burn thru". Originally the steel heat shield was positioned directly under carburetor and above 'composition' base gasket. But due to the age of the carburetors and the fact that the gasket surfaces are not as straight as they were when new, we recommend adding an additional gasket on top of the steel shim to ensure a leak free seal.

Originally used on the following Rochester carburetor numbers:
7026240, 7026242, 7027146, 7027148, 7027149, 7027240, 7027241, 7027244, 7027246, 7027248, 7036240, 7036242, 7040307, 7041304, 7041305, 7041306, 7041308, 7041309, 7027230, 7027231, 7027233, 7027234, 7027235, 7028230, 7028231, 7028234, 7028235, 7028236, 7028237, 7028238, 7028239, 7029230, 7029231, 7029232, 7029233, 7037230, 7037231, 7037233, 7037234, 7037235
