Note:
Pump cam location holes are marked on cam. Switching holes will affect the movement of the accelerator pump lever and the amount of fuel available at the pump nozzle.
The holes are used to position and secure the cam to the throttle shaft.
Hole 1 position is generally used for engines with smaller camshafts and idle speeds less than 800 RPM. Hole #1 puts the pump cam in its most advanced location.
Hole 2 position is generally used for engines with large camshafts and idle speeds greater than 900 RPM. Hole #2 retards the pump action by 5 degrees of throttle opening.
