Monojet Carburetor Rod Tech:
A "092" rod has a large diameter of .092" and a small diameter "power tip" of .048". The .092" section of the rod is positioned in the metering jet during light throttle driving. During heavy acceleration, manifold vacuum decreases allowing the metering rod to rise positioning the small diameter (.048") power tip in the metering jet. All Monojet metering rods have a .048" power tip.
A larger diameter rod will lean part throttle/cruise air fuel mixture and a smaller diameter rod will richen part throttle/cruise air fuel mixture, while maintaining the same (WOT) Wide open throttle A/F mixture. A great way to fine tune your Rochester carburetor for better driveablity and fuel mileage.
